This area strives to embrace new trends while preserving the atmosphere of old Tokyo.

River Cruise & Hama-rikyu Gardens

This half-hour boat cruise down the Sumida River travels under some 14 bridges, showing the capital’s famous landmarks along the way. The cruise will arrive at the majestic Hama-rikyu Gardens, located along the Tokyo Waterfront. Visitors can enjoy a walk in the beautifully preserved garden that the family of the ruling Tokugawa Shogun owned from the 17th to the mid-19th century, where they used to go hunting with falcons.

Mitsubachi (honey bees) Project

Togo Memorial Hall is a large building measuring around 33,058㎡ in Harajuku, Tokyo. They make efforts to protect the environment with beekeeping and other important projects. Beekeeping on the rooftops of urban buildings contributes to city greening and protecting biodiversity. Also, their projects play an important role in connecting people in urban cities to nature through their various SDGs.
